Milton T. Martin,
Jr. President and Chief Executive Officer Martin Family Enterprises,
Inc. |
|
Born in 1939, before the
involvement of the US in World War II, Milton T., "Sandy", Martin, Jr. was
destined to work in a real estate oriented field. His father, born of an
immigrant father and "Yankee" mother, and his mother, born of two immigrant
parents, espoused a strong work ethic and family values grew. Both mother and
father built a comfortable portfolio during the 50's and 60's in real estate
and the echo was "it's only as good as it is financed." "Sandy's"
father was proud that he attended Harvard in the evenings to take that course
in real estate law and more proud of his sons with real college
degrees...Boston University, Wake Forest and East Carolina Medical School.
Growing up in a 16 room, 8,000 sq. ft. home in the Boston area gave us an
appreciation of value. Over the next 40 years, two marriages, 5 children and
the restoration of 18 residences, the family knows how to fill out a loan
application. The family has been self-employed since 1945. From 24
years of age "Sandy" has been self-employed. A move to Exeter in 1979 began the
founding of Martin Family Enterprises. The thought of helping others by
directing their management in finance and accounting with an eye to business
planning was put in place. By 1982 our office was busy here on Water Street,
preparing taxes and helping clients prepare commercial loan packages to achieve
their dreams. In 1990 First New Hampshire Mortgage Corp. came to the
firm to originate mortgages. This lead to originating for more than 40 lenders.
Our company now provides the services of accounting, brokerage and financial, a
real one-stop shopping of financial services. Our pleasure in business
is assisting our clients in attaining their dreams. Thus, their dreams, our
dreams and their closure provides a feeling of completion. The
pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; at Martin Family
Enterprises we see opportunity in every difficulty. Below is a list of experiences and associations of Milton T. "Sandy"
